There were 73 milk processing plants in the state. The State is home to 33 cooperative milk chilling centers and 123 government milk processing facilities in addition to these processing facilities. A dairy is an establishment that handles milk and milk products; technology is the actual application of scientific knowledge. The area of dairy science that deals with the industrial processing of milk and the production of milk products is known as dairy technology.
